I'm aware that a large percentage of queries on this list are concerning
SMNP, and so before writing this I've read all the SMNP walkthroughs &
faqs, especially http://www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/implemen.htm , and the
Novell manuals & support documents, but I'm still up against a brick
wall. If someone could just point me in the right direction, I'd be most
grateful.
I'm trying to get a response from a Netware 5.1 server, SP 2.0a. I've
checked the smnp community is set to 'public'. SNMP.NLM itself is loaded.
Whatsup 5.01 is happily monitoring the box via tcp/ip.
I''ve compiled the Netware mibs into Whatsup and can browse through them
with the SMNP tool, but if I try to get a response on any of the fields,
I get a return = 10004 Timed Out. WhatsUp and the server are on the same
LAN, and I've tried increasing the timeouts to no avail.
Has anyone else succesfully acheived this & could maybe give a few
pointers?
