Thanks. I have tried what the KB suggested already. Besides, the file has
never been processed by mibextra before. I have setup a server to sent out
a trap whenever someone remote control into it. WUG will receive the trap:
20010531 1250 SNMP 138.164.192.30
Trap(msSoftware.13.1.18.83.77.83.32.82.101.109.111.116.101.32.67.111.110.116
.114.111.108-6.5) msSoftware.13.1.1.0="Remote control session started with
PERSNET_TN_FS1 from BUPERS\CST021 using Windows NT security."
msSoftware.13.1.2.0=Unknown msSoftware.13.1.3.0=PERSNET_TN_FS1
msSoftware.13.1.4.0=8 msSoftware.13.1.5.0=0 msSoftware.13.1.6.0=servername
msSoftware.13.1.7.0=username msSoftware.13.1.8.0="Windows NT"
I also setup WUG to email me when a trap is received with the number above
in (). However WUG doesn't send out any email when it receives the trap.
So I thought it is because the MIB file doesn't have the trap defined.
That's when I try to import the definition file with the following
definition:
1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.13.1.18.83.77.83.32.82.101.109.111.116.101.32.67.111.110.1
16.114.111.108, "SMS Remote Control", 6, 5, 9, "Remote control session
started with %1 from %2 using %3 security.%0 "
More ideas?? Thanks.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Failed to add trap definition
Hello,
I have a trap definition file that I want to integrate into WUG traps
definition file. The file only contain one line:
1.3.6.1.4.1.311.1.13.1.18.83.77.83.32.82.101.109.111.116.101.32.67.111.110.1
16.114.111.108, "SMS Remote Control", 6, 5, 9, "Remote control session
started with %1 from %2 using %3 security.%0 "
When I run the mibextra command, the results are followed:
# initializing from traps.txt
# definitions initializing from defs.txt
# definitions initializing from mib.txt
# definitions initializing from defs.txt
# initializing from mib.txt
# pre processing c:\mibs\sms.txt
# processing c:\mibs\sms.txt
complete; added 0, aliased 0, rejected 0, warnings 0
## 1 files processed
The command ran successfully, but nothing gets added to the trap file. Any
idea?? Thanks in advance.
