Hello,
The empty box next to the 'On Trap' is for the trap #. If you enter a trap
# 0-6, all others are filtered. The definitions of these 7 are in the WUG
manual. I would start off by not putting anything in the box.
Chapter 8:
Trap # Trap Description
0 Cold start The device is rebooting itself and may change its configuration
or the SNMP agent's configuration.
1 Warm start The device is rebooting itself but neither the device's nor the
SNMP agent's configuration will change.
2 Link down One of the communication links for the device is down.
3 Link up One of the communication links for the device is back up.
4 Authorization failure The device has received a protocol message that is
not properly authenticated.
5 EGP neighbor loss An EGP neighbor for which the device is an EGP peer is
down and the peer relationship no longer exists.
6 Vendor-provided traps The SNMP specification lets vendors define
enterprise specific traps, for example a trap that occurs on a particular
vendor's router. Use the MIB extractor application to add the
vendor-provided traps to WhatsUp Gold .
Hope that helps.

Dear all
We have Vers 5.01 of WUP Gold.
We are successfully receiving alerts for devices. In the Alerts tab of
device properties there are boxes to tick. 1 is 'send up alert' another is
'On Trap' followed by an empty box..
SNMP is configured and traps are sent but I want an alert when a trap is
sent. What is the required input for this box; is it optional ?
Please help
Regards
Jeremy
