Hi, folks.

No takers out there on my missing syslog files?? I need them because, due
to budget constraints on the project and the crumminess of WUG's reporting
capabilities and the complexity of Crystal Reports for a beginner, my boss
has opted to use some other in-house method for reporting which requires
that I capture the syslog data and redirect it to an application on another
machine in our network. I'll sweeten the pot by tossing in my $10
Amazon.com gift certificate that I won last Halloween. Dressed as a woman
in a ruffly purple dress, full make-up, hosiery, the works! And puffin' on
a butt and puttin' it out with my pumps (like Sandy in Grease). For all
that, I got 1st prize........a measly 10 bucks! Gee, thanks. Barely
enough to pay for shipping, for crying out loud!!

Last call for syslog help. See my inquiry below. Thank you.

Hey, people.

I went into WUG 6.02 program options and started the syslog service (I also
checked off to start service at application start-up). I checked services
and see that it is running. I shouldn't have to reboot the machine, right?
The logfile is set to update every hour. Also, several times over the past
2 hours I chose to "update logfile" immediately. But when I go to view the
syslog there is no data in the window and the title bar says there are no
syslog log files found in the specified directory. What, if anything, did
I fail to do? Thanks.....................
