Dear WhatsUp Gold Forum,

Ipswitch, Inc. proudly announces the release of WhatsUp Gold version 7.0
with enhanced mapping, monitoring, and notification capabilities. Current
service agreement holders and warranty customers will be receiving their
upgrades in the coming weeks.

The new and improved features and enhancements in WhatsUp Gold 7.0 include:

- Active Discovery: Scheduled sweeps of the network identify any new device
on the network and automatically map the device along with the appropriate

ranges of specific MIB variables over a specified duration. Once the
duration has been exceeded an alert will be generated

- Enhanced Multiple Interface Support: Devices with multiple interfaces are
now fully supported in network mapping, monitoring, and alert notification
as one single icon

- Active Links: Links between SNMP enabled devices now provide color-coded
indication of their up or down status

- Customizable Web Interface: Organizations can extensively modify the
web-based user interface to meet the specific needs of their organization

- Import/export capabilities: Device types, map, monitors and notification
data are readily exportable in either XML or more simplified INI file
formats
