Hi,
We just upgraded to 7.0 from 6.02 today and have a new problem.
We have four servers that sit outside our network that we monitor. They
sit behind a firewall that has ONLY remote administration ports open
(two servers use PCAnywhere and two servers use Terminal Services
(RDP)). In 6.02 we monitored these ports by simple adding a custom
service and telling it the port number (5631 for PCA and 3389 for RDP)
and left the rest blank. This basically connected to that port and
looked for any response which seemed to work well.
NOW that we've gone to 7.0 - this no longer works. I've tried
putting some variables in like "expect=" and "expect=\s" - but neither
of those worked. Can anyone tell me a better way to monitor these two
ports??? Or what can we change to make this work now again? Thanks,
Shawn
