i use the mibs that come with the APC ups units themselves. I check for the
ambient temperature and if it goes above a certain degree i send an alert. I
guess it would depend specifically on whether you use a UPS or are just
looking for temperature. I have a temperature gauge that I send around the
country, I got it from pinnacle. They may have just what you are looking for
or might be able to make it for you.

We use the Synchronous SNMP agent. This allows us to have open/close
contacts and temperature for our remote hubs. Also, it allows us to tell if
a hub is on generator or street power and have serial connection into our
routers.

Has anyone ever used a temperature monitoring device along with WhatsUp for
notification? We have had problems with the air units in our NOC and want to
monitor the temperature in the room. I want to get a notification before it
shuts down computers and would like to utilize WhatsUp to do this.
