I've got a port that occasionally sends data. All I want to do is make sure the connections stays up. I cannot have an interactive conservation with the port or it will corrupt data.
How do I do this? At present, I am listening for a significant part of the data, but this often times out unless I set the timeout value to a ridiculous figure.
