I have installed the
WUG 7.0 Eval version and Denika Eval version on one of our IBM Servers running
NT 4.0 SP6a.
Specs:
1 x Pentium III
800MHz
512Mb
RAM
2 x 18Gb HD
mirrored
2 x 3Com 3C985B-SX
Gigabit NICs in a redundant failover mode, latest drivers
All OS, IE, MDAC
updates and hotfixes
WUG web server
configured port 81
Denika web server
configured port 82
WUG running as NT
Service only
WUG has Heirarchical
map structure polling network devices and interfaces. Denika configured to
monitor and graph key router interfaces. WUG router devices have links to
Denika graphs. Everything is working perfectly as I am working on the
server and ready to advise buying this amazing software. But then I give
it a try from a local workstation. The Denika is working
perfectly. The Whatsup will authenticate and then only bring up the main
title in the browser and hang until timeout. Go back to the server, its
working perfectly. Back to workstations on LAN, no go.

Reapplied service
pack/hotfixes
Reapplied network
drivers/service pack/hotfixes
Reinstalled
Wug/service pack/hotfixes
Stumped.
I will be removing
3Com cards and use single 10/100 Nic and test tomorrow, but wondering if there
is something that one of you can point to right away as a problem with
WUG/Denika that may help?
