Considering the number of folks running WUG without problems like yours, I'd say you need to look elsewhere for the cause. There are a myriad of possibilities that can cause systems to crash and many of the culprits are seemingly unrelated to the error(s) received.
One of the biggest sources of problems comes from the video side of a server. I wish I had a nickel for the number of times I've seen idiot sys admins running servers with OpenGL screen-savers or the latest Voodoo card only to have bizarre system crashes that are impossible to trace based on the error messages that pop-up or even what gets written into the event log. They seem stunned when the fix is to load the standard svga driver.
Other possibilities;
-- A conflict with another application. What other app's are running, including services?
-- Have you loaded anything to the server from the OS OEM disk since applying SP5 or 6? If so, you just killed a bunch of updates from the service pack and you'll have to reload it.

Perhaps posting a little more info about the DrWatson error you received might shed some light on the problem. Also some info about how you've configured WUG -- have you setup anything special?

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] WUG Crash constantly!!

Good afternoon:
    I have an NT Server 4.0 with WhatsUp 6.0 and recently I applied the 6.03 patch. But it still crashing 2 or 3 times a week and sometimes daily, generating a DrWatson. I'm monitoring 110 devices in the same map.

What would be causing the WUG to crash?

TIA
