Eric,
I used to have the same problem and found that restrictions were made at the
SMTP mail server level (due to internal security policies) and not with
whatsup application. As we cannot change the policy we "fixed" this problem
by creating rules on the exchange sever side that forward copy of all
notifications coming from whatsup instance to the outside world. Pagers,
cell phones and wireless PDAs are now receiving these notifications and
helps to keep copies in our Inbox accounts for future reference as well as
for audit purposes.

Hope helps you

I have configured WUG to send email notifications out, to users on my staff,
if routers or switches go down. Works just fine.

We now have pagers that accept text emails. For instance,
[EMAIL PROTECTED]

I'm having problems with WUG sending emails to the "outside" world.

I'm running Exchange 5.5 with SP4.

I need to configure my exchange server to relay the messages from the
WhatsUpGold server to the outside world.

Any ideas on how I can do that??

Thank-you.
