Thanks for the response, Robert.
When I drill down in the MIB to UPS AlarmUtilFailed, and then do a get, it
doesn't show an "equals" value. It simply displays UPSAlarmUtilFailed.
If, when selecting the item in the MIB, I also insert an instance value (0
or 1), and then do the get, it displays UPSAlarmUtilFailed.0 or
UPSAlarmUtilFailed.1, but no "equals" value. I'm still at a
loss...........

Please respond to
WhatsUp_Forum
when you go into nettools and get the value of the mib what does it give
you?? Put that in your service as the equal to value for up.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] monitoring service on Liebert UPS
Hi, people.
I'm not sure if I need assistance from Ipswitch or from Liebert on this, so
I'll put it out there for both.........
Got a Liebert 300 UPS with SNMP card configured to point to my WhatsUp Gold
server (ver. 7.03). I configured a service called
LiebertAlarmUtilityFailed, of service type "SNMP monitoring". Here it is:
(Embedded image moved to file: pic19629.pcx)
The last digit (.0) of the object ID number represents the "instance" that
I selected after traversing the Liebert MIB tree to
lcUPSAlarm/lcUPSAlarmConditions/lcUPSAlarmUtilFailed.
I've tried all combinations of value 0 or 1 and host is UP or DOWN. But
every time I poll the device, it reports the service as down. Anybody know
what configuration changes I need to make to make this service report as
UP? Every Tuesday morning at my workplace, the outside generator performs
a test and turns on and takes over our power, so that is my real-time test
that I can use to see if the service is correctly reporting as down.
Thanks much..........
