Heiko,
If
you use the SNMPVIEW on the printer icon, go down to the HP objects and
verify that you can see the SNMP values being returned.
The
OID for Toner Low is 1.3.6.1.4.1.11.2.3.9.1.1.2.10.0
Take
this value and go to Tools | Net Tools | SNMP and check the Printer using the
Object ID and run a Get. If you are able to get a response from a Get in
Net Tools, you would be able to monitor the service on the device using the same
OID.
NOTE:
When assigning the services to monitor, verify that the "Arguments" field is
blank.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] SNMP Monitor Printer for low toner
hello,
i have tried to
monitor low toner status over SNMP on a HP Laserjet 4050.
I have already
download the HP MIB and
choosed the
GDStatusTonerLow and set the constant value to 0=UP, but it
wont work. The
status stays always at "service down"
What have i made
wrong? What can i do?
Thanks for your help
in advance!!
cheers,
Heiko
