I too am observing the same multiple down alert pattern...but only after I applied the upgrade from version 7.03 to 7.04
I get a down alert for a Cisco switch interface after every poll (currently set to 30 seconds), until the interface come back up. However, I do not get the repeated up alert. I am running Whatsup Gold as an application and not as a service. I posted this issue to IPSwitch WUG support, but have not heard anything back as of yet.
