Hi Guys, I was wandering if someone here have a solution for me.
I'm currently evaluation this software, and there is a feature I would like to see in here and I wonder if someone had bypassed it or did a custom service to allow me to do this. Let say I have 500 web site on wich I would like to do a content scanning using http. I created a http service for that: Send=GET /monitoring/try.asp HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: www.domain.com\r\nUser-Agent <http://www.domain.com\r\nUser-Agent> : Ipswitch_Whatsup/5.0\r\n\r\n Expect=Service is working. The problem I have with this method is that if I want to check 500 websites, I'll have to create 500 custom services. I asked the support at ipswitch, and they told me there was no way to pass an argument to the custom http service. Something that would look like: Send=GET /monitoring/try.asp HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: %hostname%\r\nUser-Agent <http://%hostname%\r\nUser-Agent> : Ipswitch_Whatsup/5.0\r\n\r\n Expect=Service is working. or Send=GET /monitoring/try.asp HTTP/1.1\r\nHost: %parameter1%\r\nUser-Agent <http://%parameter1%\r\nUser-Agent> : Ipswitch_Whatsup/5.0\r\n\r\n Expect=Service is working. So I did a feature request, but I wonder if someone here had the same problem and bypassed it or otherwise created a custom check with the api...
