Hi, people.
I am once again moving my WUG 7.04 application and data to another server. The current server, which I migrated WUG to in the spring, is Win2000 Adv. Server with the 7.0 version installed and patched up through 7.04. That first migration went without a hitch. Now I am migrating it to a beefier server, although with NT Server 4.0 (due to the requirements of CiscoWorks on the same server). I followed the same procedures as before: copied the entire WhatsUp folder to the new server imported the WhatsUp folder from HKLM in the registry then installed the complete 7.04 version of WUG (not patched up to 7.04), which I downloaded with Ipswitch technical support assistance Upon launching the application, I get a Dr. Watson error as follows: "An application error has occurred and an application error log is being generated WhatsUpG.exe Exception: access violation (hex number) address (hex number)" A few tidbits about what else is on the machine: Compaq Insight Manager and IIS. IIS was a problem during the first migration when trying to view WUG thru the browser, but the application still ran fine at the console. Anybody have anything to offer, other than sympathies (HAHA!!)?? Thanks................
