I would like to point out that the SNMP4tPC has been
known to change OID strings when installed from the default ones defined by
Microsoft's perfmon.mib.
In the KB article they do not have you use the host
MIB. They have you use WinNT perfmon counters.
You can check to see if the host MIB is working for
your RAID array by going to 1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.6 with a MIB browser and
doing a walk. That should give you the storage used in storage allocation
units.
You can find out how big the storage allocation units
are at this OID
1.3.6.1.2.1.25.2.3.1.4

Hello,
I know there has been a lot of talk on this list about
SNMP monitoring of
Windows2000 disk space, CPU etc.
I followed the instructions on WG-20020522-DM01 from
the IPSwitch knowledge
base and have SNMP monitoring working for some
systems.
I have run into a snag though. The
ldiskFreeMegabytes counter does not seem
to work on any of my servers which are configured with
hardware RAID
controllers. Has anyone out there figured out a
way to monitor a RAID
array?
