Hello Sooraj,

I don't think WhatsUp Gold allows one to monitor processes. There are MIBs
but, I think they are dynamic and it can be a bit cumbersome.

After you enable SNMP on the Microsoft server, install this:
http://www.whatsupgold.net/reports/msperfmon.exe You should find a bunch
more mibs to browse.
Compile these mibs:
http://crc.somix.com/mibs/rfc-mibs.zip
http://crc.somix.com/mibs/microsoft-mibs.zip
http://crc.somix.com/mibs/ibm-mibs.zip I think. :)

Perhaps you could monitor the NT Services with the WhatsUp Gold services
monitor utility?

Sincerely,

Michael Patterson

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Monitoring process and eventlog using SNMP

Hi,

I need to monitor the processes for e.x Outlook.exe
running on a system using snmp with Whatsup..

I am currently doing the same using Cocores Plugins.

How can I find the OID's for a particular process in
the process list ?

Can I also monitor the event logs with snmp.If so
where can I get the MIB's ?

Is there a way?

Regards,

Sooraj T
