I have 4 servers I
would like to monitor with WUG's NT service plug-in (standard feature in
7.00). The WUG machine is a standalone win2k pro machine logged
in as it's local administrator and not a member of any domain. The four
servers are all a part of the same domain and logged in as the same domain
admin. These servers are using the same login and pass as the WUG machine
for local admin credentials. I can enumerate services on 2 of the 4
servers. Monitoring, contrary to WUG documentation, using the services
enumerated from one of the servers does not work for all four servers (only the
two whose services are able to be enumerated by WUG); The other two
machines return an Access Denied Message (obtained from the debug logs in
WUG). Can anyone help me straighten out this mess. I hear there is a
way to get all of this to work using the right combination of usernames,
passwords, and associated credentials.
Thanks,
Ben
