Create a simple asp page called isserverup.asp and place it in your default
directory.
Add the text Success somewhere in your code.

Go to Configure | Monitors and Services
New
select tcpip and give it a service name (isserverup.aspcheck)
give a timeout of lets say 10 seconds,
port 80

Place the following 2 lines in the box.

Send=GET /isserverup.asp HTTP/1.0\n\n
Expect=Success

Shmuel.

You can hit the asp page url from the WUG. Analyze the reply to see if it
is up.

For example, when you hit the web site, in the response it might have a
word
"UP". Search for the word in the reply from the asp page. If you find the
word, the page is up & fine. Otherwise it is down..

Hope this helps.
