Firstly you should create only one icon for both traps.
Then write in "on SNMP trap" file both trap names (i prefer numeric
sequences) separate by comma.
If you do use "notifications groups" do not check "on SNMP Trap" for each
person in this group.

| Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Alert on SNMP trap
|
>------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------|
Hi,
I have the following problem with the alerting on SNMP traps.
Let say that on a given component i have configured 2 alerts.
I want the first one to be triggered on the trap A , so i select On
SNMP trap
and specify the symbolic name for trap A according to traps.txt
I want thesecod one to be triggered on the trap B , so i select On
SNMP
trap
and specify the symbolic name for trap B according to traps.txt
I don't want to be alerted on any other traps.
So far so good...
The problem is that if a trap C occurs ,it will trigger both alert even if
it's not specified
in the alert. How can i get rid of this ?
thanks
