Kevin,

I received a response from Dransoft. They are honoring all CoCoRes support
contracts, setting up a knowledge base to be implemented in early 2003, and
transition existing CoCoRes customers to Dransoft versions in the next 90
days.

I believe the product(s) to be a value for the money as well as an asset
that meets a need and makes my work life easier. The other products that I
looked at cost much more, didn't integrate into WhatsUp, and required
clients on target machines. The Event Log Monitor is much easier than
dealing with generating SNMP traps and dealing with that. I was doing that
and actually still am at our co-location e-comm web site. I know that W2K
can generate traps from the Event Log directly without third party
products, but I didn't find the interface friendly and you still have to
receive the traps, etc.

This is just an opinion from a poor farm boy in Wisconsin.

Carl D.

I saw that as well I think that cocores was a reseller? How do you like
their pluggins? I am trying to convince my manager that they are worth it.

Strictly an FYI.....

I use the Event Log Monitor plug-in from CoCoRes. When I went to the
www.cocores.com website for technical support I found that they no longer
exist. I was redirected to www.dransoft.com.
