You'd actually want to edit a pager notification device, not a beeper.  For the number you need to put in a phone number that corresponds to your service; it is generally NOT the pager number.  You can call your provider if you don't have this (I called arch to get mine).  The pager id is then just the pager phone number.  I used the default dial string.     BTW, this provided a use for one of about thirty old decommissioned 14.4 modems...I knew there was a reason for saving them! :^)   Greg   Greg Schaffer Director of Network Services Information Technology Division Middle Tennessee State University ----- Original Message ----- From: Wieczorek, Eric SGT NE-ARNG To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Monday, November 04, 2002 9:00 AM Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Help with using modem.
