Allen,
Thanks
for the reply. I tried your suggestion and I have it working.... partially. It
no longer scrolls the container name across but it also doesn't scroll the
downed device either. When you click on the container and go to that map you see
the down device on the scroll. Hmmm.
Due to
constraints,I can't send the file out to you... sorry.
Scott
[Allen] Would you mind doing the same thing for
me? Or maybe someone could post a modified marquee file to the
list. I'm not really sure how many of us are wanting this, if there are
enough of us then that might be the easiest way.

Scott, you can try adding this line to the script, it
should accomplish what you're looking for:
<%IF% (%MATCH%
(%DEVICE% HOST_TYPE, Subnet))>
Of course, if it's not a "Subnet",
change that as needed (Container, Server, Router, Hub, etc). It
uses the "Type" field in the General device properties.
Don't add
anything after the line, just move on to your next statement, which
should be <%ELSE%> (or <%ELSEIF%> and make sure you have an
<%ENDIF%> at the end.
If you'd like, you can send me your
marquee file and I can mod it and get it back to you.

Chris,
Have you found a way to exclude the map
names (containers) from scrolling in the marquee? My folks LOVE the
scroll but hate that the containers also show. Is there an exclude
statement in ASP?
