I do a similar thing, based on some feedback from Joe S at ipswitch from
this forum. I use Crystal reports, which can modify the canned reports
from WUG. I also created some new custom reports. The upshot of using
crytal, I think, is that you can use WUG's built in ability to auto run
reports at a given time.

I highly reccomend using an outside reporting tool, it adds value to the
data that WUG already collects.

Subject: Re: [WhatsUp Forum] Working Hours Outage Report

Tim,

I just completed out FY reports from my WUG data. I first ran a STATISTICS
report for a random map for the duration from which I needed data (FY2002).

This act populates the wugstatdata.tab file with all availability
statistics for every map and device defined in WUG.

I then sucked the wugstatdata.tab file into access and completed my reports
there. The upshot is, don't bang your head trying to get the WUG stats or
performace reports to generate the reports you desire. It can't and won't.
You will have to get it into another app and work with the data there.

Good luck,

MessageI need a way to pull reports that show the outages on a link during
"working hours" These would be defined the same for all the sites on one
map, and all the maps would be the same except about 2. If anyone has any
ideas please let me know. Thanks

Tim
