Maybe I am missing something, but...can you offer some insight as to why this would be a good capability or an example of a practical use?
You can already copy a device from one map to another. If you wish not to receive alerts, then just don't enable them. If you monitor the device via TCP or ICMP, then of course it will be included in the poll list.
