He is probably right. I remove the "auto negotiate" feature always. Speed/Duplex
settings on servers should always be manually configured as well as the port to which
it is connected.

I have been using a 3com 3C985B Gigabit NIC for more then a year. We use them on all
of our servers. You have to disable link negotiation on the NIC and on the switch port
your connected to.

I had the exact same problem with a 3Com Gigabit Ethernet NIC. It was never
resolved so I just left it on my 100MB Ethernet. I don't think I've seen
anyone on this list have a working GigE NIC on their WUG server. I would
love to be proven wrong though.

        Cheers,

Has anyone had any problems using a Compaq Gb nic?
        I'm running WUG v7.04 on a Compaq DL360 G2 with a NC6136 Gb nic. I was able
to connect to the login page for the WUG website, but not the site itself
        from another system.

I was able to connect to the website from the server that WUG itself is
        installed on.

I disabled the Gb nic and connected one of the on-board 10/100/1000 nics
(100 Mb) and it worked fine. I would really like to use the Gb nic, so any
help would be greatly appreciated. I have a call opened with tech support,
but I haven't heard back yet, I'll repost if they come up with a solution.

        Thanks everyone,
