The phone number for the AT&T text message service is 18008418837 pagerid
is the cell phone number.

I haven't used it for a while, but just tried it and it works.

Thanks,
Allan

Yes, I've set them up like a beeper. I send my four digit extension as
the numeric message. If I don't receive an e-mail message, my first
guess is that the internet connection is down. And I know that 2303 (my
extension) means trouble...err I mean opportunities.

It's all in the delays. I basically called my cell phone and counted
the times between the prompts. Then I inserted commas in the phone #
-->9,,5551212,,,,,,,,,,,,. My dial string looks like
ATDT%s,,,,5,,2303,#,1 where %s is the phone number. We need to dial a 9
to get an outside line, pause 2 seconds, the dial the cell number, pause
16 seconds, dial 5 to leave a numeric message, pause 2 seconds, enter
the numeric message, pause one second, # to end the message, pause 1
second and 1 to end the call. You need to experiment. We have two AT&T
cell phones and the delays are a little different on both of them.
