Our Veritas backup
application is not able to backup one of the archive log files
because Whatsup has an exclusive lock on the file. Is anyone else
experiencing this problem? I would have thought it was a one time copy and
not a continuous open file transfer. It's only a problem because of the
backup failure report because of that one file. I still want to backup the
archive directory and I don't want to have the team manually change the excluded
filename every week. I also don't want to disable monitoring during the
backup window.
Running WUG 7.04 on
an NT4.0 SP6a. File system is NTFS.
The logging settings
are to archive after 10 weeks and to compress.
Any help or thoughts
