Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] device names in Performance Graphs

Hi, people.

Running 8.0 on an NT server. Noticed a difference in the way the devices
are listed in the left side preview pane of performance graphs. My routers
are named BOS-2621-ROU, switches named LA-2924-SW1, etc..... I tried
generating a graph against all routers, for instance. On the report
properties page, under query options, I had DEVICE contains *-ROU. It came
back saying that it found no data. I then did a report against ALL
devices. Upon seeing them all listed in the preview pane, I see that they
are now listed as upBOS-2621-R, upLA-2924-S, etc.... If I now do the
report to match for *-R, then it pulls up data for all my routers. The
same thing is happening to my file servers, which are named like DAL-KEANE.
It appears in the report as upDAL-KEA. Looks like the 2 chars "up" are
being tacked onto the beginning of the name and the last two chars of the
actual name are being dropped. What happened here?????
