Here is what I have discovered so far in my testing...

1. Pager Notification in WhatsUp:
** I have had the most success in getting the connection and
transaction to succeed with the settings shown below. I have tried all
of the protocols, all of the baud rates, and 8N1 setting, but these work
most reliably. What hasn't yet happened is the SMS message arriving on
the phone. (??)

  Terminal Number: 18008418837
  Terminal Password: (blank)
  PagerID: 10-digit number of phone
  Modem Setup: Primary
  Protocol: TAP
  Modem Init String: ATE0Q0V1X4F1
  Baud Rate: 1200
  8N1: (unchecked)

2. SMS Notification in WhatsUp:
** I have also had success with this after setting up a new SMS
profile (below), but again, even though the debug log shows everything
went off without a hitch, and the test returns at status of 'succeeded',
I have yet to receive any of the test messages on my phone. (??)

  Country: USA
  Provider: AT&T GSM (see below)
Phone no: 10-digit phone number of phone

  AT&T GSM (SMS Profile):
    Provider: AT&T GSM
    Country: USA
    Max Message Length: 160
    Email: (unchecked)
    Dialup: (checked)
    Phone: 18008418837
    Password: (blank)
    SMS Script: _No EOT Tap

    Modem Settings:
      Modem Init String: ATE0Q0V1X4F1
      Baud: 1200
        Data Bits: 7
      Parity: Even
      Stop Bits: 1

3. Email Notification in WhatsUp:
** This is where I have had the greatest success, but I would still
like to get all 3 working correctly.

Mail server: IP of your SMTP gateway
  To: ##########@mobile.att.net (where ########## is your 10-digit
phone number)
From: Anything that has permission to send from your email gateway.

This message did arrive as an SMS message (on my T68i anyway).

Enjoy, and please let me know if anyone cracks the code on the first two
and gets them to deliver successfully.

Still Testing...

Dennis.

Also, for what it's worth, the TAP number for AT&T Wireless is
800-841-8837. The 10 digit AT&T phone number is the Pager ID. I've
tested this with WUG 7.04

One of my favorite resources for TAP numbers is
