The KB article referenced below is valid for versions up to v7.04.

1) v8.0 Web Interface introduces new ways to save the maps. There is a "Save Map"
option on TopView.

2) When viewing a map there is an option "Write Map to Disk".

3) The tickbox in the "Settings" page that says "Write map to disk" has been removed.

I haven't seen that KB but I am aware of needing to write the map to disk. It's a pain
but it makes sense. It seems that they made that to be very confusing!

I'm using version 7.04 and the alternative1 web pages from the ipswitch site and the
changes I am making on the web pages aren't being saved on the maps. Shutting down
the service and making the changes then restarting the service isn't going to work for
my distributed users. Any suggestions for how to fix this?

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] WUG 8.0/Acknowledge via web

We're having problems where we cannot acknowledge via the web since we've upgraded to
8.0. We have modified web pages from the alernative1 on IPSwitch's site but have even
tried re-installing a fresh copy and using the default web site files that come with
it to no avail. We've made sure that in the web settings the users have authority to
acknowledge. Tried creating new users. Tried toggling the settings. Nothing seems
to be working. Anyone else having the same issue?
