WhatsUp Gold v8.0 will exactly what you are wanting to do.

You can match on trap contents using regular expressions... and that includes the
ability to define an event that is based on "does not include <annoying pattern xxx>"

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Pruning Notification from "Annoying" traps

I am notified via pager or email of SNMP trap events. I would like to
continue being notified of all trap events EXCEPT some really annoying
ones. I don't want to have to explicitly specify every single trap I wish
to generate notifications, as this would be too time consuming. So far, to
prune these annoying notifications I've had to disable all trap
notifications on the specific devices. Obviously this isn't ideal. Is
there a new way in v.8 to intelligently parse incoming traps and generate
notifications based on the trap content? I know there's a way to specify
all traps that you want to generate notifications, but it seems like an
easier task to enable notifications on all traps and then simply prune back
the specific ones you don't want to see. Can I setup an exclude event or
series of events that will page upon all trap events except for the exclude
event?

Sincerely,
