Tom,
I will offer a solution, but before I prepare that, read below.

If you are wanting to cycle through maps so that you can see devices down on those
maps visually, I would like to say there is a much easier way. If WUG maps are
designed in a hierarchial manner, you could build a "Top map"
with containers that are associated with those other maps. If any device goes down on
any of those maps, that container will change shape and color. You could simply click
on that container and see exactly which device is down. Or, you can implement the
scrolling marquee that reflects the state of all loaded maps (depends on the scroll
code you are using). When a device goes down, you can cause the name of the device
and its location to scroll across the screen. I have implemented this as many others
have done. I also have the number of missed polls, which changes to how many minutes
the device has been down after a certain number of polls.

In order to pull the output of other servers, you can use a Perl script, or a
language/OS called Rebol. Rebol is almost fits on a floppy, but is very powerful.
This part is a little more time consuming, but I may be able to help in the not too
distant future. Time consuming: An hour or two.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Auto Cycle Through Maps...

I want to setup our big-screen WhatsUp monitor to cycle through different maps
on the WhatsUp Gold server(s). Additionally, I want the monitor to pull different
web-based map pages from different servers. For example, the browser would display a
map of the United States for 20 seconds, then display a different local map for 20
seconds, and so on. After displaying 4 or 5 maps, the cycle would start all over
again. Is anybody doing anything like this. I know you can do this with KVM switches,
but I don't want to do this with hardware. In that case, the monitor would need to be
connected to the servers. I want to be able to do this from any PCs browser.

        thanx, tom...
