Jim, Take a look inside the file. If you find any blank lines, remove them. This seems to be an anomoly in 7(I think). I thought that this was fixed in 8.0. Maybe it is a recent upgrade?....

It seems to have been the EV-2003-03-16.tab file was either corrupt or too large to process 32,741KB. I renamed it to EV-2003-03-16.tab.old and restarted the service.

It was recreated and seems to be working fine despite the lack of data in the device logs.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Problem with WUG web server

I’m having a problem with the WUG web server.

Im using wug8.0 on a proliant dl380, web server is running on port 81, iis/win2k is running on 80.

Everything has been working fine until about 3 days ago.

All of my maps that are associated to container or subnet type icons off of my main map work fine.

So if I go from topview.asp into my “national” map everything works fine and the map is rendered to the web server and served up.

But if I try to go into any workstation object detail page the entire WUG service or GUI shuts down. All I get in event viewer is application terminated unexpectedly.

I tried running as a service and /or running on the desktop. Same behavior either way.

How can I go about debugging this.

I tried reloading the latest drivers for video as well to rule out any kind of directx issue. There was a previous posting on this.
