Heya Guys, I have a couple generic questions regarding MIB, OID, and TRAP files and the mibextra utility. I extracted all of the MIB info for WUG with minimal errors/rejects/warnings using the default options with mibextra.
D:\nms\wug\mibextra cisco\mib\*.mib So then I used the same syntax on the .oid and .trap files (not knowing what would happen) D:\nms\wug\mibextra cisco\mib\oid\*.oid D:\nms\wug\mibextra cisco\mib\trap\*.trap Mibextra seemed to run with no errors and said it processed all the files. Was my reasoning here accurate or is there a separate way to import OID and TRAP files? When I look at the traps I am still getting the long lines that don't mean a whole lot to humans. Did I omit a step or are these the normal trap formats? 20030324 185920 SNMP [ip_address_removed] Trap(cisco.9.41.2-6.1) cisco.9.41.1.2.3.1.2.108=LINK cisco.9.41.1.2.3.1.3.108=4 cisco.9.41.1.2.3.1.4.108=UPDOWN cisco.9.41.1.2.3.1.5.108="Interface FastEthernet0/13, changed state to up" cisco.9.41.1.2.3.1.6.108="95 days 23:17:53" Addr: [ip_address_removed]Int:6 Int:1 Tick:"95 days 23:17:53" Thanks!
