The first question that comes to mind is how many maps are involved? IF all
of the nodes are on the same map the answer would be different then if they
are on multiple maps.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] dependencies

I have about 10 remote sites. These remote sites will only be monitored via
ICMP. I am trying to understand setting up dependencie.

At the main office I have a router that connects to the router in the field,
I ping both outside/inside nics. Then I I ping the defaultGW and regional
server.

What I would like to have happen is if my main router is up then ping the
regional server. Because if the regional server is up everything inbetween
is up. If the regional server is down then ping the inside nic of the
remote router, then outside and so on.

Can someone explain how to set up the dependencies to accomplish this?
Using traceroute did work.
