Hi Jeff, This was happening to us for a while also. I ended up reinstalling everything from the ground up, and it resolved it. I don't know if that will help you, but it's a easy thing to do. First, save all your maps to another location, then uninstall the app, then resinstall, and put the maps back. As far as running as a service, you can do that, just when you need to make changes, stop the service, then load the gui interface to make your changes, save them, then restart the service.

I run it as an application, not as a service, because I can't do the type of configuring that I do in the Web interface alone. I'm still building the maps and getting all of the services created and monitored. So here is the issue. Randomly the console will shut down. It happens when no body is doing anything in the console. There is no errors on screen or in the event log. I can't find any entries in the 'WUGEvent.log' file. I have lived with it for some time now. But now that I'm getting so far on the maps that WUG is far more important to us. There seams to be no pattern on when it happens. It happens anytime of the day or night, and any day of the week. Has any one else has this issue? I'm looking for ideas. Right now it happens 1-2 times a week. Thank you for any help or insight you can give me.
