Finally I've found the way to save it automatically and avoid using button "Write map to disk", see KB article http://support.ipswitch.com/kb/WG-20020321-DM01.htm

 

Why didn't IPSwitch put condition for "Automatically save user changes from web interface" option in WUG .asp files? Something like following:  <%IF% IS_AUTOSAVE_CHANGES_ENABLED> <%MAPSET% (WRITE_TO_DISK,1)><%ENDIF%>? They are keeping this dummy box, "Automatically save user changes from web interface", through years starting from first versions of WUG. That's misleading users.

 

BTW, Technical Support haven't answer my question at all.

So this option looks useless to me.

 

The problem remains: how to save user changes from web interface. It looks like never worked - I've just tried it on version WUG 4 - the same problem.

 

Does anybody know what's going on with saving/loosing changes?
