you could do it with an ASP page and wouldnt have to move any devices. Just match on device type being whatever you want and put the value into a table. Similar to the way the "down" asp has been discussed here in the past.

You would only create the new map once. Then you would have to loop between all other maps and that map til there were no more maps. All the pieces are definitely available. -----Original Message----- From: Anthony Valuikas [mailto:[EMAIL PROTECTED] Sent: Tuesday, July 01, 2003 2:44 PM To: [EMAIL PROTECTED] Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Question about maps and device types I just thought of this but is it possible to make one map by looking for a certain device type from all the other maps? What I would like to do is pull the switches out of all of my maps and create a new map with just the switches so one of our wan guys can see just those. I know I could export, [script] cut and paste and all of that [EMAIL PROTECTED] but seem like there should be a way to build off of a device type or something. That way the map would build dynamically. Thanks Tv Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
