I have a router for our T1 line and 3 firewalls that connect to it. A hub or switch are the only ways to connect them together. I could of gone with a small little unmanaged hub, but I wanted some ting solid and stable. Also the management features are very nice.

That way you can use SNMP and still have a save internet connection. Just out of interest, what are you doing with a switch on the internet ? I have a switch that I want to monitor by it is on the Internet and I don't want to enable SNMP on the net. It is close to my WUG box and would like to monitor the status of the ports and bandwidth used (MRTG?). Any help would be great.
