Subject: RE: [WhatsUp Forum] SMS Notification - Orange UK

Hi Chris.

I had problems getting SMS to work with my provider, Cellnet.

Also had problems getting anything to work through using the "SMS notifications" part of What's Up Gold.

So I got thigs working using One-2-One's service in the end. Here's what I did....

Under Configure / Notifications Library / Pager:

TAP Protocol

Terminal number: 9 07958 879889

No Password

Pager ID: Full international phone number of mobile ... ie 44776xxxxxxx

Message string: whatever you like ... I left mine set to default value "%c %n %v %u at %t"

Modem settings: 300 baud, 8N1 NOT checked, init string ATE0Q0V1X4F1

Hope that helps ... good luck!

Andy.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] SMS Notification - Orange UK

I am having difficulty setting up the SMS notification in Whatsup Gold.

My mobile provider is Orange and I have changed the SMS Dialup number to 07973100602 which is the terminal based SMS service.

I have also attempted to edit the TAP script to suit the Orange service, however each time I try a test, it fails and I have no way of identifying where it fails.

Has anyone got this working with Orange UK? Any suggestions or pointers would be greatly appreciated.

Regards

Chris Howlett
