Hi The Active Discovery in WhatsUp can generate a map from a ip range scan, host file, snmp etc. However the WhatsUp also allow updating the map within a time interval, eg. every day if any new devices has been added to the network. But is it true that it isn't able to make this update from eg. a host file that has been updated in the mean time? It seems that the whole network segment is scanned for new devices (Map Properties --> Network --> Active Discovery Settings), and not from the method that the Active Discovery was created with (eg. from a hosts. file).
In other words is it possible to make an automatic map update within some time interval, depending on the changes in a hosts. file?
