Yeah....its not me going crazy after all. I reported this some time ago
to ipswitch but havent got around to trying some their suggested fixes
which was basically to uninstall and reinstall making sure that I
selected the correct map templates.

My problems are identical to what has been described in this thread.

The tech support response is below:

You reported this issue a while back, where in the webinterface,
"whenever you drill down into a device and say add a service, once you
click on the submit button you are returned to a page that does not
return you to the map view as it did prior to the patch. You have to go
all the way back to the top view and then return to the map and device."

We have been unable to reproduce this behavior with the standard
templates. Could you send your web templates to try and reproduce it?

Also do you get the behavior with the default templates?

It was first reported to ipswitch on 3June03. In there defence I havent
had the time to try the suggested fix.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] Bug with 8.01 Web Interface??

Has anyone else seen this?

When in the web interface, I select a map and then an individual device.
Then I select the Reset Counters link. I see the "Resetting
Counters..." page, then it comes back to a blank device page (no name,
stats or
anything.) If I try to click on Map View, it says I don't have rights
or the map is not found. If I click on Top View, it goes to the top and
then there is not problem.

I have re-created it on 2 separate WUG installs.

I had a WUG 8.0 server that worked normally. I then installed the 8.01
patch and the problem started.

Tech Support has not heard of it yet, so I was wondering if anyone else
has seen it.

Thanks
