To Monitor our DHCP servers, we put seperate NIC cards in a server, one for each DHCP server to be monitored and a NIC with a static IP address. THe server was monitored by WUG on the nic with a static IP address. We created services in WUG for the Microsoft NIC IP address OID string (of the NICs with DHCP) and monitored to ensure there was an address and check to make sure it matched, we used reserved lease on the DHCP server and knocked the lease time way down for those monitored addresses. I dont remember what the SNMP value is but its there. Worked good.
