You know that use to be a hope of mine until they went to device state shapes. I also have offices world-wide and for now I have never gone graphical because of BMP (yuck) and the device state shapes which make no sense when a region might have 75 offices. (too much)
I sent in many request for the container or subnet icons just to be a button and JPG, PNG or something other than BMP as a background. So with colors the buttons would go red, yellow and green and not a large background area. That way I could place 20 times the amount of information on a regional map and it would be easy to view. I would be interested to see what others are doing. Sorry I could not help... What version are you running?? I am starting a new install of WUG for a company that has offices world wide. I think it would look cool to have the parent map to be a world map made up of multiple icons and than child maps for regions of the world. North America map would be icons of the locations and than another child map of all the hosts for those locations. Any ideas for the world map icons? I know I can use a bmp as a background but I was hoping to find an icon shaped like the continents so if I have a trouble in New York, North America would go yellow, than red on the world parent map. Any other ideas for the parent map? Thanks for any help, Kevin Please visit http://www.ipswitch.com/support/mailing-lists.html to be removed from this list.
