I am looking for some tips on how to configure WUG to alert me if my route tables change on my CORE  6509 devices....my understanding is that Cisco doesn't have a trap that can be sent when the number of entries in the routing table changes.

As a workaround, a script could be written to poll the routing table at regular intervals, get the number of entries, and generate an alarm if the number changes.   Has anyone ever done this or does anyone have other suggestions?
