Hi,

How about using SNMP2ca from Williams Technology Consulting Services
http://www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/snmp2ca.htm
<http://www.wtcs.org/snmp4tpc/snmp2ca.htm>

The Standard version (available now for free!) supports the Core Four
counters, and allow you to begin monitoring CPU, Disk, Memory and
Network
counters from any Windows 2000/XP/2003 system you want.

Regards,
Maria

I have no problem using the Denika for SNMP monitoring but my guess is
your
product relies on WhatsUp SNMP monitoring. If WhatsUp Gold is unable to
retrieve any information from the servers you will be unable to create
any
reports. Am I correct? Is there any other product you work with which is
windows friendly?

Dean

Hi Dean,

You may want to check out Denika for additional SNMP reporting and
integration with Whatsup Gold.

The evaluation is limited to 10 reports however if you go to the
following
link and register you will receive 100 free reports:
http://www.somix.com/support/download_request_denika4wug.php
<http://www.somix.com/support/download_request_denika4wug.php> (only
for
Whatsup Gold users).

Have fun!

I used the OID and it gives me a null value. I checked through the snmp
viewer and I drilled down to the .........logicaldevices but .DiskNumber
was
missing I have couple of other variables but they are empty beside the
dell.storage.software.arrayManager.logicalDevices.virtualDiskTable.virtualDi
skNumber.1=1 and the value virtualDiskFreeSpaceInMB = is empty.
Is there a better way to monitor the System resources like disk, raid,
process, applications, threads, and etc with WhatsUp? Is there a plugin
to
monitor system

Dean

1.3.6.1.4.1.674.10893.1.1.140.2.1.10 will give you the free space from
the
Dell Open Manage mib
(dell.storage.software.arrayManager.logicalDevices.DiskNumber).

Unfortunately the mib does not give percent usage information.

Does anyone know how to do math with mibs? This mib gives disk size and
disk
used. Is there some way to calculate percent in a generic way so I can
create a generic "95% full" monitor?

Do you know in which section you find the OID or what is the OID for
free
disk space?

Hi,
I would suggest that you compile Dell's "Open Manage" Mibs. I have done
it
it works swell, it took we some time to figure out though, wich OID's
that
was of interest.
Good luck.

Nicklas
