If everything was on a map and you didn't have other devices on the map you
could unload the map. Then when the work was done you could reload the map.
It would be nice if IPSwitch had this kind of calendaring or a command line
tool to load and unload maps. However I have been doing stuff like this for
a while now by using the web pages.

Hope this helps.

Thanks. Totally forgot about using a schedule for alerts. Just got it set
up and it will get tested tomorrow morning if they do any maintenance.

If it was me I would just do it via alerts. If you shut down the map then
you will not have a trace of the up/down events in the log. In other words
still allow the map to show the item down but disable the alerts (other than
visual) during that window. Not the best solution but until Ipswitch puts in
a true calendar for scheduling we have little choice.

I have many of the same issues and have done it that way for years. It has
not caused any issues with any support personnel.

Subject: [WhatsUp Forum] stop monitoring servers during scheduled downtime

I have a map created that monitors servers that have scheduled downtime.
The down time occurs on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Tuesday and Thursday
are done during the same time frame and Monday's is different. I cannot
shutdown Whatsup Gold during that period because I have other maps with
servers on them that need to be monitored during that period. So, is there
anyway for me to shutdown just one map and not all of Whatsup Gold? I
looked at the monitoring options in the server properties on the map, but it
doesn't look like I can change the schedule to how I need it. Any ideas
would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
