Greetings folks,
We are in the process of moving from an outsourced monitored system to an internal system running WhatsUp Gold. I love the product, however I have concerns over the large number of devices that I want to monitor. We will monitor right off the bat about 450 routers, plus another 50 to 100 services and servers locally. Within another 2 years, we expect to hit a total of 800 to 1000 routers to be monitored.
Can WhatsUp Gold handle this? I know that in theory it has no hardcoded limit on devices, but I am wondering what CPU/hardware/memory limitations we may run into - and how this many devices could affect the polling time and loop. Maybe one of the programmers/support folks can give me some idea or some hints on what? I would greatly appreciate it.
Sincerely,
Virgil Vaduva
